Welcome to first grade! My name is Carrie Stinson. This will be my 13th year teaching first grade. My husband Greg and I live in High Ridge with his 2 children. Courtney is a sophomore at NHS and Zach is in 7th grade at WMS.  We also have a precious dog at home named Sadie Mae.  When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, hanging out with my family, watching Kentucky basketball and eating lots and lots of chocolate.

I'm looking forward to working with you and your child this year!

Please help your child memorize his/her lunch number.  You can find your child's number on the money pouch located in the BEACH Binder.  Each Friday our class uses the keypad in the cafeteria to enter our numbers.  This number will also be the username/password for IXL Math as well as other learning programs.

Thank you for your help!

 Further action taken

Each student has a clothespin. They all start the day in the middle of the chart on "Ready to Learn." The clothespins move throughout the day. Positive choices will move you up one level at a time. Negative choices move you down.  If a child "clips down" he/she has the opportunity to clip back up.

Look at all of our jewels!

Once your child clips up to pink, he/she earns a jewel.

4 jewels = blue clip

4 jewels on a blue clip = purple clip

4 jewels on a purple clip = pink clip

4 jewels on a pink clip = silver clip

4 jewels on a silver clip = gold clip

4 jewels on a gold clip = sparkle clip
