WMS Clubs

 

Art Club - will be doing a lot of creative and interesting projects such as drawing, painting, and sculpture.  Ms. St. John will be teaching art club in room 17 on every other Mondays after school until 4:00pm.

Computer Club - some projects include creating an electronic scrapbook and creating a design for computer club t-shirts.  The club will meet in room 1A on various Mondays after school until 4:00pm.  Mrs. Manion is the sponsor.

Game Club - will meet the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from 2:30-4:00pm in room 2LL.  Mrs. Lind is the sponsor.

International Club - is a club for those interested in studying different countries and cultures through music, art, history, video and other activities. Join us as we 'travel' to other countries and experience their cultures and cuisines. The club will meet in room 17 on various Wednesdays from 2:30-4:45.  Mrs. Mayton is the sponsor.

Intramurals - the purpose of this club is to increase participation of students in various sporting events and activities to promote health and wellness for their well-being.  This is not a competitive club.  We want students to choose to participate because it is fun, enjoyable and informational. This club will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-3:30pm in the gym or the field. Mrs. Stevenson and Mr. Leonard are the sponsors.

Running Clubin the fall our focus will be on preparing for 4 cross country meets against local middle schools. We are also participating in the Read, Right, Run program sponsored by GO! St. Louis.  Participation in the events is optional.  In the fall the club will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:20-4:00pm in the hallways or the field.  Mrs. Schumacher is the sponsor.

Science Club - students will explore various aspects of scientific study that includes electricity, chemistry, physics, ecology, biology and the environment.  The club will on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month from 2:20-4:00pm in room 8LL.  Mrs. Harter is the sponsor.

TREND Club - is a club at WMS, sponsored by Ms. Mordecai and Mrs. Schumacher, to encourage drug-free activities.  This club will meet on designated Thursdays of each month in Room 14 from 2:30-4:00pm.

Yearbook Club - students who are interested in working on the yearbook staff must fill out an application and submit it by September 11, 2012 to Mrs. Brutcher or Mrs. Hill.  This club will meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 2:30-4:00pm in Room 7.

CIA - will meet on various Thursdays in Room 5 from 2:30-3:30pm.  The sponsors are Ms. Strupp and Mrs. Jarvis.

Honor Society - will meet on various Wednesdays in Room 18 from 2:30-3:30pm.  Mrs. McClure and Ms. Mordecai are the sponsors.
