~Meet Mrs. Meinhardt~  

If you ask anyone in my class, they will tell you that we are a "family"!  Which makes sense since we are together almost 40 hours a week! In a way, I'm kind of like their "school mom" as one of them told me this year.  Here are some facts about me:

  This will be my 14th year teaching.  I spent my first nine years at House Springs Intermediate School teaching sixth grade. The next three years at Murphy Elementary in fourth grade.  Last year was my first year in third grade and I am so excited to loop with the class to fourth grade!!! I am certified to teach Early Childhood (birth to age 3); Elementary Education (1-6); and Middle School Math and Science (5-9).  I am also a National Board Certified teacher.  Occasionally when needed, I am an adjunct instructor for Jefferson College's Teacher Education Program.  Finally, I am a group fitness instructor at Gold's Gym!  I love to teach!!!!

I am married with three boys: Kurt, Damian, and Xander (triplets!), they were in kindergarten here at Murphy and will go to our home school district this year. We also have a dog named Hercules, a Ball Python named Roc Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Tree, a hermit crab, and three little girl hamsters (Sunny, Puffy, and Hulk).  If I'm not with my boys or at school you can find me at the gym!
