A+ Program |
Beginning with the class of 2015, students must earn an advanced or proficient on the official Algebra I EOC to be eligible at graduation for the A+ incentive. If they do not pass BUT meet all other A+ requirements (and are enrolled in the program), they can enroll in community college, take a minimum of 12 hours and pay out of pocket for the 1st semester. If they achieve a 2.5, they can then apply to begin using A+ the 2nd semester. Northwest High School has been designated as an A+ School. This means that if a student signs an agreement form and meets the following requirements, upon graduation they then may be eligible to receive a grant that covers two years of tuition at any public community college, or public vocational or technical school in the state of Missouri. A+ Agreement Forms can be picked up in the Guidance Office or the Freshmen Principal's Office.
The A+ grant program is funded by the State of Missouri and is not the responsibility of the Northwest R-1 School District. Northwest High School must maintain it's A+ designation to be eligible for the program. A+ Coordinator (636) 274-0555 ext. 720 |
