  • Positive Paw Changes - Student's will only receive a Positive Paw Pass during advisory if they have an A or B in all classes.
  • Infinite Campus Parent Portal - The Parent Portal enables parents to be able to view current grades, attendance, discipline and student demographic information. We encourage parents to utilize this tool to monitor their students progress. We also ask that parents keep the school informed of any changes in phone numbers. Because of the availability of Infinite Campus we no longer collect progress reports. Progress Reports will be given to students at 5, 9, and 14 weeks, of each semester. Parents will be notified by a School Reach phone message the evening before Progress Reports are given to students.
  •  PRIDE -  Be part of the PRIDE…Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, Excellence

Be Part of the PRIDE, is the slogan of our character education program. This embodies the qualities we expect of our staff and what we strive to enforce and instill in each of our students. When a student is nominated their name is announced during the morning announcements, a post card is sent home by me, letting parents know their student has been recognized. The student is called to the office to be given a “P.R.I.D.E. bracelet”. These bracelets have become somewhat of a fashion statement in the halls of Northwest High School. Student’s that received P.R.I.D.E. bracelets were nominated by teachers, principals, students, custodians, and administrative assistants for “Doing the Right Thing”.  Approximately 850 students were given a P.R.I.D.E. bracelet during the second semester of this school year.

Students were nominated for returning wallets, cell phones, money, keys, purses, helping another student in need, helping a teacher, picking up chairs and trash for custodians, the list goes on and on. As administrators, we were extremely impressed by the honesty and integrity of our students. It’s up to us to keep the momentum going. We are currently in the process of creating a new design for next year’s bracelet. We have always known that our student’s are the best and we want everyone else to know. So watch for those P.R.I.D.E. bracelet’s!!!!!!
